Pan-Seared Sesame-Crusted Tuna Sushi



Enjoy the delightful combination of pan-seared sesame-crusted tuna and creamy avocado wrapped in sushi rice and nori. This sushi recipe brings a burst of flavors and textures to your palate, perfect for sushi lovers craving something unique and delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 4 oz sushi-grade tuna
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 2 nori seaweed sheets
  • 1 cup sushi rice, cooked
  • Wasabi and pickled ginger for serving

Instructions:

Pat dry the tuna with paper towels and coat evenly with sesame seeds

Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat

Sear the tuna for 1-2 minutes on each side until the sesame crust is golden brown

Remove from heat and slice thinly

Place a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat

Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top

Arrange avocado slices and seared tuna on top of the rice

Roll tightly using the bamboo mat, moistening the top border to seal

Slice the sushi roll into bite-sized pieces

Serve with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger
